Medford, MA – April 2, 2007 – Meadow Glen Mall will be awarding a total of $10,500 in cash to local schools through School Bucks, a program promoting education in local area schools.
Between August and March, shoppers presented receipts at Customer Service to “get points” for their school. Turning in receipts right up to the very end, School Bucks proved to be a healthy competition between local schools vying for the first place cash prize of $5,000!
The schools were ranked according to the total number of points-per-students that they accumulated throughout the program. The top 5 schools will be receiving cash prizes:
Winners
1st – McGlynn
Elementary - $5,000
2nd – Brooks Elementary - $2,500
3rd – St. Raphael’s Elementary - $1,500
4th – Roberts Elementary - $1,000
5th – St. Francis of Assisi - $500
In light of recent budget challenges for area schools, these funds can be used for anything from new playground equipment, to computers, or even as means to implement new programs.
The Awards Ceremony will be held for the winners at Meadow Glen Mall on Monday, April 9 at 3:30 pm in Center Court of the Mall.
For more information on how your school can benefit from this program, as well as a full list of rules & regulations, please contact Kristy Rosnick at rosnickk@urbanretail.com or 781-395-1010 ext. 222.
